Heavy rainfall causes Summerlin Rd. to close for pothole repair

Published: Updated:

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – The aftermath of this weekend’s rainfall is affecting Lee County roads.

On Monday, the Lee County Department of Transportation took a survey of all county roads.

They are looking for any roads that were damaged from the rain and need repair. So far, the county blocked off an eight foot pot hole along Summerlin Road.

One lane of Summerlin Road just south of Cypress Lake Drive is blocked off until Tuesday night.

The county is asking drivers to use an alternate route if possible.
