FORT MYERS, Fla.- The two men recently cleared in the murder of 5-year-old Andrew Faust Jr.
were rushed to the hospital this weekend.

It’s been less than a week since the state dropped murder charges against Thomas Edison and Terrance Irons for lack of evidence.

Edison’s attorney tells WINK News he was treated and released at Lee Memorial Hospital Sunday for a gunshot wound.

The attorney says she does not believe this was related to the murder of Faust. She says Edison may not have even been the target and his client is not pressing charges.

Irons was also treated at the hospital but it is unclear why. His attorney tells WINK News he was not shot.

At this point, Fort Myers police are not saying if Edison or Irons were injured in two shootings from this weekend.

One was near Hook’s Seafood Restaurant on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

While investigating that shooting, police got another call to Davis Court for another gun shot victim.

Investigators aren’t sure if the two shootings are related.
