CAPE CORAL, Fla.- One person is dead after a truck slammed into a pool hall late Monday afternoon. Four people were taken to the hospital after the vehicle crashed into Diamond Billards located on Southwest Pine Island Road. Police tell WINK News two of the victims were taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other two victims were taken to Cape Coral Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A witness tells WINK News there were about 12 people inside at the time of the crash. Firefighters say the vehicle drove about 50 feet into the building and pressed one of the victims up against the bar as people screamed during the chaotic scene. It is still unknown what caused the driver to crash into the building. Trust WINK News for any updates.
