Deputies search for Burnt Store Marina boat thief

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Crime Stoppers is looking for a man who reportedly took a boat from Burnt Store Marina on July 6.

Deputies said a man left his pontoon boat in the slip around 10 p.m. Monday. When he returned the next morning, the man said his boat was gone.

The boat owner said he searched the marina’s waterways to make sure it had not detached from the dock.

Deputies said surveillance video in the area showed a white man in the area during the time of the theft. Investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify the man in the video.
