CCSO searching for man who broke into home

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- An intense search is underway for a man accused of breaking into a woman’s home while she was inside.

It’s all happening on Ridge Street, between Tamiami Trail and Goodlette Frank Road.

Authorities say the woman found the stranger walking around her living room.

When they asked him why he was there, the suspect didn’t say anything and left.

Neighbors tell WINK News they haven’t seen any sort of crime like this in years.

“I do have a big dog that’s very protective so I feel a little safer, but the idea of somebody just walking in, in broad daylight, is not something that I would really think of,” said neighbor Barbara Lankton.

Despite a K-9 search for the suspect, deputies have not located him yet.

The suspect is believed to be in his 20s with dark blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue shorts, and a blue hat.
