Deadly crash closes down SR 78 in Glades County

GLADES COUNTY, Fla.- Three people are feared dead after a crash on State Road 78 near U.S. 27.

It happened just after 2 p.m. Thursday outside of Moore Haven.

Florida Highway Patrol tells WINK News the road is closed in both directions on SR 78.

FHP says a white van going eastbound on SR 78 when it lost control and collided with a dump truck going westbound.

The truck driver tried to avoid the van, but wasn’t able to. Authorities say the truck driver is okay.
