MGN LOS ANGELES (AP) – The Dodgers have acquired left-hander Grant Dayton from the Miami Marlins in exchange for left-hander Chris Reed. Dayton was 2-1 with a 2.83 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 25 games for Triple-A New Orleans this season. The 27-year-old pitcher was selected by the Marlins in the 11th round of the 2010 first-year player draft. He will report to Triple-A Oklahoma City. The trade was announced Wednesday.
