Stick a Fork in Cancer

FORT MYERS, Fla. – WINK News, WXCW and the American Cancer Society have teamed up once again to Stick a Fork in Cancer.

It’s as easy as it sounds, more than 40 restaurants across Southwest Florida have teamed up to donate 10 percent or 20 percent of their Tuesday sales to the American Cancer Society. The money will support cancer programs, education and research right here in Southwest Florida.

“Stick A Fork in Cancer has become an anticipated favorite fundraiser by our local restaurants. We are so fortunate to have so many generous restaurant owners in the area that join together with us in the fight against cancer,” said Emily Teachout, Community Manager for the American Cancer Society.

All you have to do, is pick your favorite restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner and enjoy a meal. Last year, the event brought in almost $20,000 and organizers are hoping to exceed that this year.
