NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla.- Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying a thief who broke into a Dollar Store and stole more than $3,000 in glass pipes. Surveillance cameras captured images of the man smashing through a display case at the store, located at 1890 N. Tamiami Trail, just before 2 a.m. on Monday, July 6. The suspect was able to gain entry to the store after shattering a glass window on the side of the business. When a store employee arrived at the Dollar Store later that morning, he discovered that the store had been broken into, although only the glass pipes were taken. Anyone with information on the Dollar Store burglar is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
