BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – July is National Ice Cream Month and to mark the occasion, Royal Scoop in Bonita Springs is inviting you to try their flavors and celebrate summer.

Throughout the month of July, children under the age of 12 can participate in the “I Pledge” challenge every Wednesday from 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. If they can recite the Pledge of Allegiance from memory, they’ll be awarded a free scoop.

Festivities continue on National Ice Cream Day, July 19, where a day long celebration is planned with the first 100 people in the door getting free ice cream. The famous brain freeze ice cream eating contest for cash and prizes along with the “Pint for a Pint,” blood drive will also take place to celebrate the day.

At any given time the Royal Scoop has more then 60 flavors on hand to choose from at three Southwest Florida locations. To register for National Ice Cream day events and to see a full schedule of events, click here.
