Collier deputies arrest suspect in East Naples bank robbery

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- A man is under arrest in connection to a bank robbery in East Naples.

Oscar Diaz, 41, of Illinois is charged with armed robbery and grand theft.

Diaz was taken into custody in the Shadow Wood Apartments off Skyway Drive and Rattlesnake Hammock Road Thursday.

Deputies say the suspect went into the Wells Fargo located on Collier Boulevard Wednesday afternoon just before 4 p.m. posing as a customer. The suspect asked about a transaction, then pulled out a weapon and demanded cash before taking off.

There were no customers in the bank and no injuries were reported.
