CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Police say an argument between neighbors quickly escalated when one of them pulled out a shotgun.

Sean Spiegelman, 21, faces felony aggravated assault charges for making threats and pointing a loaded shotgun at his neighbor.

Thursday evening, police responded to an apartment on the 4900 block of Vincennes Street.

Authorities say Spiegelman and his neighbors have been having ongoing verbal confrontations stemming from a noise complaint. The arguments continued and escalated to the point where Spiegelman armed himself with a shotgun and began pointing it at his neighbors who were in their lanai.

According to witnesses, Spiegelman made comments about “killing them all,” referring to the victims.

When officers arrived at the apartment, they could see Spiegelman in his apartment’s lanai with two other people. Officials say he went inside the apartment, holding the shotgun, then came back outside without the shotgun and sat back down.

When Spiegelman noticed the officers, he immediately put his hands up and was taken into custody without incident.

Spiegelman remains in jail Friday with a bond amount set at $5,000.
