LEE COUNTY, Fla.- The Lee County Animal Shelter is jam packed, full of cats and kittens. The shelter is expecting to receive nearly 700 more cats this month and they’re asking for your help with adoptions. The shelter is asking for $15 for a cat or kitten. “A lot of people don’t realize that probably 99 percent of the people who are looking for a pet, could find one at a shelter but they just don’t think about that. And that’s unfortunate, because there’s great pets here,” said Ria Brown with Lee County Domestic Animal Services. The shelter is also in need of foster families. As a reminder, be sure to spay and neuter your pets to help reduce the overpopulation of animals at local shelters.
