AT&T, Sprint and Verizon stores all burglarized in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Four cell phone stores have all been burglarized in the same manner over the past week.

On June 11, a Sprint store in East Naples was hit and the inventory was wiped out.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office says the burglars made entry by defeating the lock, cutting the alarm system and breaking into the back room. The burglars left all the merchandise in the store that could be tracked by GPS then ripped out the security video.

Fast forward to the early morning of June 17 where an AT&T store in East Naples was targeted next.

The thieves made entry the same way but were not as lucky. It seems they couldn’t defeat the alarm in this case and got away with a few small items.

Less than an hour later, thieves managed to wipe out the inventory at a Sprint store in North Naples. Officials say the suspects once again used the same method of entry, stealing and leaving similar merchandise behind and then ripping out the security system.

Around 11:30 p.m. on June 17, authorities say burglars tried entering a Verizon store in North Naples. This time, officials say the suspects could not shut off the alarm. The sheriff’s office is still investigating this latest break-in.
