CAPTIVA, Fla. – The U.S. Coast Guard is in a rush to find a missing diver who was last seen near a popular Southwest Florida reef. The search is happening 27 miles off the coast of Captiva Island, near where a sunken U.S. Coast Guard cutter ship, the U.S.S. Mohawk, was retired in 2012. Search teams worked for hours before the search was called off around midnight Sunday morning. A charter boat captain and a diver both tell WINK news that anything can go wrong. The search will continue Sunday morning as soon as the sun comes up.
