NEW YORK (AP) – Usain Bolt is confident he’ll be back in peak form once the world championships arrive in August.

The six-time Olympic gold medalist was slowed by injuries last year, and his times have been unremarkable so far in 2015. But he’s always been able to reclaim his dominance in time for the biggest meets and expects that to happen again this summer.

Bolt said Friday that “everything is coming together” in his training.

He is back at the place where he first proved he would be a transcendent athlete. In May 2008, he set his first world record in the 100 meters on Randall’s Island, east of Upper Manhattan.

He returns there Saturday, running the 200 this time at the Adidas Grand Prix. Bolt hopes to break 20 seconds, a modest goal for someone whose world record is 19.19.
