2 men wanted as suspects in strong-arm robbery

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Police are searching for whoever robbed a man in a motorized wheelchair.

On June 6, around 1:45 p.m. the Fort Myers Police Department responded to the 3800 block of Evans Avenue in reference to a strong-arm robbery.

The victim told police two unknown men took his property by force. Witnesses advised they heard the victim calling for help from his motorized wheelchair. The suspects were seen fleeing northbound on Evans Avenue in a black Dodge four-door hatchback.

Detectives discovered the robbers were at a nearby Circle K just minutes before the robbery occurred. Video surveillance captured both suspects along with their vehicle and female driver.

The first suspect is described as wearing all black clothing with a camo colored San Diego Padres ball cap.

The second suspect was wearing a black t-shirt and camouflaged shorts. He had long dreadlock style hair pulled back in a ponytail.

Police say the female driver has short hair and was wearing a green floral printed shirt.
