SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. (AP) – The Florida Highway Patrol says the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 are closed due to a tanker trunk fire near Sun City Center south of Tampa. The tanker was transporting diesel fuel on Wednesday morning when it caught fire. Troopers say traffic is being diverted off of I-75 at Exit 246, which is Big Bend Road. The road is expected to be closed for several hours. No further details were immediately available.
