Naples 911 system is down

NAPLES, Fla. – Naples Police and Fire 9-1-1 System went down after 9:00 P.M. when the Naples Police Department Communications began experiencing a system wide malfunction. Currently, the non-emergency lines ring in dispatch but cannot be answered. The 911 emergency line has not been ringing. 911 calls are currently being routed to Collier County’s communication center. In case of further system failures, officers are staffed at the following locations to answer any emergencies:

Port Royal Club at Gordon Drive and Kingstown Drive

Verizon Wireless at Central Avenue and 9th ST. (SW corner)

NPD Headquarters

Coastland Mall south parking lot entrance off Fleischmann nearest food court

Park Shore Plaza, center parking lot

NFD Station 1 @ 8th St. S./8th Ave. S.

NFD Station 2 @ 26th Ave. N./10th St. N.

All listed units have activated emergency lights and are available for citizen contacts.
