Cape Coral police investigating 7-Eleven robbery

CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Cape Coral officers are investigating a robbery at a 7-Eleven in the 700 block of Chiquita Boulevard, right across from Mariner High School.

Officers tell WINK News they got the call around 5:40 Tuesday morning.

Police say a man entered the store, displayed a firearm to the cashier, and demanded money from the register. He then ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash toward the southwest corner of the building.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, medium skin tone, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, medium build, with black scruff/bearded facial hair, possibly in his early 20s.  The suspect was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, a dark hat, dark shorts and dark colored shoes.
