FORT MYERS, Fla.- Police arrested eight people for prostitution in an undercover operation. Friday, female officers posed as street prostitutes along Cleveland Avenue in an attempt to be solicited by individuals looking to receive sexual acts for money. “These types of operations typically begin with complaints from residents and business owners,” said Lt. Victor Medico with the Fort Myers Police Department. Police arrested the following people for a variety of offenses: Robert Dale Yowler, 73, of Marco Island Solicitation for the purposes of prostitution Eric Montanez, 27, of Lehigh Acres Solicitation for the purposes of prostitution Jonathan Hopwood, 25, of Lehigh Acres Solicitation for the purposes of prostitution Possession of marijuana less than 20 grams Juan Carlos-Tomas, 29, of Fort Myers Solicitation for the purposes of prostitution Driving without a driver’s license Eduardo Valdemar Ochoa, 26, of North Fort Myers Solicitation for the purposes of prostitution Driving without a driver’s license Craig Williams, 55, of Cape Coral Solicitation for the purposes of prostitution Possession of drug paraphernalia Robert Lawrence Barrows, 36, of Lehigh Acres Solicitation for the purposes of prostitution Possession of drug paraphernalia Driving while license suspended James Randall Sewell, 63, of Cape Coral Solicitation for the purposes of prostitution
