Man breaks into Port Charlotte business

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Detectives are trying to identify a man who broke into a Charlotte Harbor business early Monday morning and took two pieces of equipment.

When business owners at three nearby businesses in the 23000 block of Harper Avenue arrived at work Monday morning, they found signs where someone had tried to pry open the doors.

One of the businesses, Reynoso Tires, was actually entered and items inside were moved around. The business owner noticed that two air guns missing.

Surveillance video from the area showed a man wearing shorts and a T-shirt using a prying tool to try to enter the businesses.

Police say the man arrived in a white Ford Explorer or Ford Expedition.
