Traffic stop nets 2 arrests for drugs, weapons

FORT MYERS, Fla.-  A routine traffic stop turned into a drugs and weapons bust.

Thursday night, police tried to conduct a traffic stop at Pauldo Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard but the driver didn’t stop.

Police caught up with him several blocks away and smelled marijuana.

After a search, they found guns, pot, cocaine and nearly $1,500 in cash.

The driver, Dwight Christian, and his passenger, Reginald Davis Jr., were arrested.

They’re facing several charges for the drugs and guns.
