MGN CAPE CORAL, Fla. -Cape Coral police are warning homeowners to be on the lookout after vandals hit cars and a home in the northwest part of the city. Police sent an alert, warning families that several cars were ransacked in the area southeast of Diplomat Parkway West and Chiquita Boulevard North. Officers say some of the cars were damaged and some had items taken from them. Police also said the suspects broke into a home owned by a seasonal resident, breaking walls and televisions with a golf club. Officers said several of the cars burglarized had their steering columns broken.
