FORT MYERS, Fla. – Police are searching for a suspect involved in a shootout that caused crash. Police were called to the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Hanson Street around 3:30 p.m. Sunday for reports that people in two separate cars were shooting at each other. Officers said after the shooting, one of the cars took off, headed southbound on Cleveland Avenue and the other fled, headed eastbound on Hanson Street. The suspect’s car that took off on Hanson Street then hit another car. The suspect took off running, but two people in the other car were injured. Both of those people were taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries. Police said the suspect, who took off running is a black man, between 5’4 to 5’6 and was wearing a white shirt and mustard colored pants.
