Man killed during fight in Golden Gate Estates

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies are investigating why a man died during a fight at a home on 45th Avenue NE in Golden Gate Estates on Monday.

When deputies arrived they found the victim, 48-year-old Jorge Pena, unconscious between two dump trucks.

A report from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office shows there were several people at the home when Pena was killed. But, they aren’t saying who killed him.

Pena lived just a few miles away from the house.  A family friend tells WINK News he was a truck driver who took his truck to the home on 45th Avenue NE to have it worked on.

“We don’t know nothing about the problem over there,” said Nelly Denny.  “He was a very good person.  I know him for almost year and a half.”
