CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of a Monday morning condo fire. It happened around 7:20 a.m. on the 19500 block of Quesada Avenue in Port Charlotte at the Oaks III condominium, building K. Fire crews tell WINK News they found smoke coming out of a second floor unit and a fire in a bedroom. The condo was unoccupied at the time and belongs to seasonal residents. Crews say they were able to extinguish the fire quickly. There is heavy smoke and fire damage to that unit, and some water damage in the unit below it. No one was hurt and the cause of the fire has not been determined.
