NAPLES, Fla.- A man’s body was recovered in the Gulf of Mexico after an intense search Friday afternoon. The recovery effort was focused off a beach in the Port Royal area. Officials found the body near Gordon’s Pass. The Naples Fire Department chief tells WINK News the victim around 30 years of age swam out to a sandbar with a friend around 2 p.m. Officials say the sandbar was deeper than the men expected.
