MGN Online BLOUNTSTOWN, Fla. (AP) – A 27-year-old Florida Panhandle man faces aggravated manslaughter charges in the death of his girlfriend’s child. The News Herald of Panama City reports Stephen Aaron Young was charged Wednesday in the death of 2-year-old Anya Dziura. He’d previously been charged with child neglect. He faces up to 30 years in prison. Authorities ruled she died from blunt force trauma to the head. Investigators say the girl was in Young’s care April 2 while mother Jessica Dziura was working. Calhoun County Sheriff Glen Kimbrel says investigators are trying to determine how the girl was injured. Authorities say Dziura took the girl to the hospital. The child died the next day after being taken off life support. Dziura is charged with child neglect. It’s not known whether Young has an attorney.
