LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who robbed a south Fort Myers Wells Fargo bank Wednesday afternoon. Detectives say the unarmed suspect walked into the Wells Fargo, located at 12751 S. Tamiami Trail, just after 2:30 p.m. The man demanded cash from the teller, then quickly fled the scene in a silver Nissan Maxima with Florida tags. The vehicle was last seen headed southbound on US 41. Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
