KATHMANDU, Nepal (AP) – It’s a tale of life and death in Nepal.

Rescuers have found three survivors in a mountainous village. Earlier, they report digging up 51 bodies, including several foreigners, buried by a landslide after the earthquake eight days ago.

The bodies were found in a remote area with inns near a trekking trail. The survivors are hospitalized.

Meanwhile, runway damage at Nepal’s only international airport appears likely to limit the amount of aid and emergency personnel who can fly in. The weight of all the big jets flying in has been too much but officials say the medium size jets the runway was designed for can still land.

Meanwhile, India is stepping up. A Nepalese consular official based in the eastern Indian city of Kolkata, says an Indian state government is sending 100,000 tents to Nepal.

The quake death toll has topped 7,000.
