LEE COUNTY, Fla. – State troopers are investigating a mid-April ATV crash after the person in critical condition died on Wednesday. The crash happened late April 11. Florida Highway Patrol says the ATV was traveling north on Misty Morning Lane, approaching Katydid Lane, when the driver changed lanes. The passenger, 56-year-old Immokalee resident Larry Johnson, fell off the vehicle during the lane change. Johnson was taken to Lee Memorial where he later died from his injuries. According to state troopers, alcohol was present in Johnson’s system and he was not wearing a helmet.
