Naples man in serious condition after motorcycle accident

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – One man is in the hospital after getting in a motorcycle crash in Collier County Thursday night.

The Florida Highway Patrol says it happened just before midnight on US 41 and Laurel Oak Drive in North Naples. 46-year-old Wesley Mayhew of Naples, was hit by a Range Rover.

Troopers say the Range Rover didn’t yield and made a left hand turn in front of the motorcycle causing the accident.

Mayhew was not wearing a helmet and was taken by helicopter to Lee Memorial Hospital.

He is listed in serious condition.
