3 under arrest in $500K pot bust

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- More than $500,000 worth of pot was taken away from two grow houses.

On Thursday, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit participated in a statewide marijuana grow house eradication operation and arrested three people.

Two marijuana grow houses were located during the operation. The first home was on the 3000 block of 4th Street SW. Authorities say there were approximately 20 plants within two rooms, which had been converted, to grow marijuana.

Marcos Perez-Lamba, 50, was taken into custody and charged with trafficking in marijuana. The estimated street value of the marijuana for this location is $115,500.

A second house was discovered by detectives at on the 3000 block of 49th Street West. Detectives removed 89 plants from three separate rooms converted into grow rooms.

Eduardo Cicero Menendez, 24, and Isaac Montes DeOca, 44, were both taken into custody and also charged with trafficking in marijuana. The estimated street value of the marijuana for this location is $450,500.

In total, a street value of $566,000 worth of marijuana was removed from the streets of Lee County.
