TAMPA, Fla.- A family made a troubling find while cleaning out their attic. They found a wooden box with what appears to be old Spanish coins, a treasure map and a possible human hand. The owners say they have no idea where, or what year, the hand could be from. Curators say the map is a blueprint, most likely from the 1920s or 1930s, but it’s the hand that’s drawing more questions. “It seems as though this belonged to my great-grandparents because there is a picture of them in there,” said Mike Lopez. “I think it still looks real, the weirdest thing is the hand.” Several experts have looked at photos of the hand and the jury is still out on whether it’s human.
