Port Charlotte man faces charges for trafficking cocaine

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Deputies in Charlotte County made a massive cocaine bust Tuesday.

Authorities arrested 44-year-old Ronald Edmond on a variety of charges after locating a large quantity of cocaine in his home.

Members of the narcotics unit served a search warrant at the house on the 18000 block of Ebb Avenue.

During the search of the residence, detectives located a total of more than 82 grams of cocaine, a small amount of marijuana, five methadone pills, multiple plastic baggies with cocaine residue, Pyrex mixing bowls and other items of paraphernalia. They also located $4,000 in cash bundled next to a plastic baggie with cocaine residue.

Detectives arrested Edmond on charges of trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of methadone, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
