LEE COUNTY. Fla. – The man accused of raping two women at Florida Gulf Coast University took a plea deal, and will not go to prison.

Joshua Sekulic was accused of terrorizing the campus during a six-day span back in 2013.

Sekulic will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life but he is now a free man after pleading no contest to crimes that even the judge said would normally warrant substantial jail time.

The 23-year-old had nothing to say to our cameras after he was allowed to walk out of the courtroom Monday.

He plead no contest to one count of sexual battery.

Back in October 2013, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said the FGCU student sexually assaulted two girls on campus and attacked a third.

One of his victims gave a statement in court Monday, with a direct message to him.

WINK News has chosen not to identify her in order to protect her identity because she is a victim of sexual assault.

“Joshua, I hope that one day you will truly comprehend what you have done and that you understand that a day won’t go by that your victims won’t remember the physical attack as well as the permanent emotional scars that impact all relationships.”

Sekulic is also on sex offender probation for 10 years, that includes counseling, a curfew and electronic monitoring.

He also cannot have any contact with the victims.

Sekulic was banned from FGCU when the attacks first happened.
