LEE COUNTY, Fla.- The man accused in a string of violent robberies in Lehigh Acres is now in jail.

Five robbery investigations over the last two months are all linked to one man. In every case, deputies say Jauron Bryan used a gun and got away.

The violent crime spree goes back several weeks to a robbery in March at the Advanced Auto Parts on 8th Street.

Deputies say Bryan asked a clerk to look up parts on a computer, then pulled a gun on him.

On April 15, Bryan is accused of hitting the Advanced Auto Parts on Sunshine Boulevard, forcing customers to the front of the store with a semi-automatic gun.

Police say he warned customers, telling one of them “don’t make me do this in front of your son.”

Two days later, Bryan is accused of storming into the Auto Zone on Lee Boulevard. Authorities say he threatened workers then took off with cash.

Reports say Bryan, again wielding a gun, stuffed eleven cell phones and cash from a safe at the Metro PCS on 8th Street.

According to officials, Bryan became bolder after that. They say he even robbed a Family Dollar on a busy Saturday in broad daylight.

As robbery detectives followed up on leads, an anonymous tip came in to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers identifying Bryan as a possible suspect. Detectives showed photo lineups to witnesses, many of whom were able to identify Bryan as the person that committed the armed robberies.

As additional information and evidence was uncovered, detectives located and subsequently arrested Bryan for the five armed robberies. Detectives say Bryan’s take at the robberies was approximately $10,000 cash, along with phones and jewelry.

The investigation continues as detectives look into whether Bryan is responsible for other armed robberies in the area
