Treeline Avenue attracts business development

Published: Updated:

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Business development is booming in Southwest Florida. Treeline Avenue near Southwest Florida International Airport is emerging with commercial development.

This relatively new road is conveniently located right off of I-75 and minutes from Florida Gulf Coast University.

“We saw the growth area, we wanted to be by the university and we wanted to be by the gulf coast,” said Pat Ciniello, owner of HeadPinz.

Headpinz is one of the new businesses coming to Treeline Avenue in mid-June. The facility will be a nearly 50,000 square foot entertainment center. It will feature 28 bowling lanes, a game room, ropes course, two-story lazer tag, and three bars. HeadPinz will be one of the first of its kind not just along Treeline Avenue, but in Southwest Florida.

“It’s a little different venue where families can come and enjoy themselves,” said Ciniello, “there’s nightlife for the older millenniums that want to come and have a party and everything else.”

Owners believe the new RSW flyover will help drive-in traffic because it separates people going to the airport and open up Treeline Avenue.

“I think we’ll see some more hotels, I hope we see that,” said Jerry Messonnier, a commercial realtor with Lee & Associates. “I hope we see some more entertainment centers, but I think the bulk of what we’ll see will probably be industrial.”

Messonnier also says the area won’t be built over night, but within the next 10 years, you can expect this to be fully developed.

With the up and coming business growth along Treeline Avenue, you can expect future job openings. Headpinz is looking to hire more than 100 employees over the next two months.
