Judge reduces bail for suspect in Andrew Faust Jr.’s death

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A man accused of killing a 5-year-old in a drive-by shooting has gotten his bail reduced.

Thomas Edison is one of two men investigators say killed Andrew Faust Jr. in October 2014.

Monday, a judge agreed to lower Edison’s bail.

He is now sitting in jail under a $850,000 bond, lowered from $1 million.

WINK News spoke with Faust’s father, after the hearing. He says he is disappointed in the judge’s decision.

Edison’s defense attorney said she too is disappointed, but for a different reason.

She says she can prove Edison was inside his own home, the night Faust was killed, and had nothing to do with it.

In court the judge said he still had concerns that Edison could be a danger to the community.
