Lee County authorities search for weekend Walmart robbery suspect

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Authorities are still searching for a man who robbed a Walmart clerk at gunpoint Saturday.

Detectives say a man between 20-30 years old, entered the Walmart at 2523 Lee Boulevard shortly before 6 p.m.

Police say the suspect approached a cashier at the store’s Money Center and demanded cash while brandishing a black handgun. The clerk complied and the suspect fled on foot.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.
