COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Only on WINK News, a suspected robber confesses to our camera that he stole a lot of cash from a woman at a Walmart Wednesday afternoon.

The snatch and grab happened at a store on Pine Ridge Road and Airport Pulling Road in North Naples. One witness, on a job interview, saw the whole thing, took off her high heels and chased Manuel Antonio Devillers down.

Devillers might have gotten away with it if it wasn’t for Meagan Nashman, who just got back from a job interview and was at Walmart.

Nashman says,”this guy storms by me and another lady comes out and says stop him stop him. So no one else did anything. I thought I would just pop off my heels and run.”

The victim, Ciara Augustin, was thrilled she could wire her $1,000 to Haiti.

Augustin thanked Nashman for getting her money back, but the good Samaritan says she couldn’t let the suspect get away with it.

“For me to not do anything, then I feel guilty,” said Nashman.

Police say Devillers is from Fort Myers and is homeless. He is now facing robbery charges.

Deville told our camera, “I took money what I did was wrong and I’m ready to pay 10 years.” He says he apologizes for what he did.

As for Nashman, she ended up getting that job at a hair salon.
