LCSO searching for SunTrust bank robber

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Deputies are searching for a suspect who robbed a San Carlos Park bank.

Detectives say a man entered the SunTrust bank located at 18875 South Tamiami Trail around 2:56 p.m.

The suspect displayed a note to the teller, demanding cash. According to authorities, the note implied that he had a weapon, and to provide the money quietly.

The bank teller gave the suspect the cash, and he left the bank, headed northbound on US 41 on a bicycle.

Detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office are currently on the scene and canvassing the area in search of the suspect.
