Reward increased in Wells Fargo bank robbery

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla.- Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying and tracking down two men who held up a bank earlier this week.

To encourage people in the know to come forward, Wells Fargo is offering an additional $5,000 in reward money.

Monday morning, two men entered the Wells Fargo branch, located at 5500 Bayshore Road, brandishing firearms.

Police say the men quickly jumped over the counters and demanded cash from the tellers.  Once the cash drawers were emptied, the men left the bank in a silver minivan.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the men is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers and $5,000 from Wells Fargo.  Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.
