TAMPA, Fla. (AP) – Authorities have charged a 21-year-old southwest Florida man with arson after they say he put his neighbor’s wallet in the microwave and turned it on.

Tampa Fire Rescue officials said Mohammed Almarri illegally entered his neighbor’s apartment Sunday and threatened the owner, then forced him onto the balcony. The owner said Almarri allegedly took his collection of lighters and piled them on the floor next to a small electric heater which he turned on. It’s unclear what prompted the confrontation.

Almarri was arrested on multiple charges including first degree arson. The owner of the apartment was unharmed.

When firefighters arrived at the apartment they smelled smoke but said there was no active fire.
