MGN DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) – Authorities say an Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University student faces charges after threatening to kill a professor. Daytona Beach Police Deputy Chief Craig Capri says 33-year-old Konstantinos Kostakis was arrested Thursday. He’s charged with making a written threat to kill or injure. Capri says the student confessed. The Daytona Beach News-Journal (http://bit.ly/1EfHTLN ) reports police went to the College of Aviation building on April 1 after assistant professor of commercial space operations Diane Howard found the typed letter. It claimed two heavily-armed students would shoot her. Police say the letter also called for her to resign and cited shootings at Virginia Tech and Sandy Hook Elementary School. Kostakis confessed in a written statement, saying he wanted his bad grade changed. He was booked into jail. It’s not known whether he has an attorney.
