LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Over a 100 acres burning in North Fort Myers are now a 100 percent contained. What started as a controlled burn, turned into an inferno. Authorities say the original prescribed burn for 80 acres, expanded into 160 acres. Plumes of smoke could be seen across Southwest Florida as flames scorched the dry ground. The smoke was visible for miles. Officials say no buildings in the area were in danger.
