Get ready, set, pull! It’s a truck war

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Think you’ve got the strongest truck around? Now is your chance to show off its power and force all while helping the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.

Fort Myers Truck-a-Wars, kicks off Saturday at 6 p.m. with a 7,000 and 9,000 pound weight class for pulling. Anyone can bring their truck to pull as long as weight requirements are met.

Admission to spectate is just $10, VIP parking is $20 and to enter your truck to pull is $25. Weigh in starts at 4 p.m. for both classes.

Trucks pulling in the 7,000 pound class must have 41 inch hitch height with D.O.T class tires only, no competition or compound tires. Trucks pulling in the 9,000 pound class must have 51 inch hitch height with D.O.T class or tractor tires, no competition or compound tires.

First place payouts for both classes is $600, 2nd takes home $400, 3rd takes $300, 4th gets $150 and 5th place wins $50. A portion of the event proceeds also go to help build the new Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.

Fort Myers Truck-a-War takes place at Catch 22 located in Royal Palm Square at 1400 Colonial Blvd.
