Thieves steal $500,000 worth of jewelry from Bonita business

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.- Thieves managed to pull off an elaborate jewelry heist.

According to Lee County deputies, someone cut a hole in the wall of Bonita Nail and Spa to get into Amore Jewelers next door.

The businesses are located on South Tamiami Trail, just north of the British Open Pub.

Amore Jewelers employees say they opened up Monday to a ransacked store and $500,000 worth of jewelry missing.
