SWFL church delights hundreds with free meal at Chick-fil-A

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A local church paid for more than 700 people’s lunches at a south Fort Myers Chick-fil-A Tuesday.

Between noon and 1 p.m. at the Chick fil-A on U.S. 41 and Daniels Parkway, family after family got to walk away with a free meal courtesy of Next Level Church.

“We want to help people out and we know that this is a great way to help people’s day be a little bit better,” said church pastor Mike Ash.

“I think it’s wonderful, and I see it already trickling through everybody else in the way everybody else is acting,” said Anna Hoffman, who was one of the hundreds to get a free meal.

The church sets aside money every year for special promotions. Tuesday wasn’t the first time they’ve done something like this, but it is the first time they promoted it on social media beforehand.
